Well we're moving for a few reasons.
1. There are lots of jobs for mining engineers, in many kinds of mining. My husband works in the tarsands in Fort McMurray so the type of experience is limited here. He really wants to get into drilling and blasting so he can learn how to blow stuff up. You can't really do much of that here.
2. Right now we can sell our house for a lot more than we paid for it so it's a good time to get out of town.
3. We would like a change, and I'm quite certain Australia is much warmer than Canada :)
4. A little adventure. If we don't like it we can always move back.
5. We're relatively young (about 27 years old) and our two kids are both under 3 years old. So it's the time to go for us.
5. We've been thinking about going for about two years and at this point if we don't go I'm sure we'll regret it later.
That's pretty much it. We've never been to Australia so it will definately be an experience for us.
